EXOTIC GOTHIC 2 edited by Danel P. Olson, and published by Ash-Tree Press, presents twenty-four original stories covering seven continents. Here we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to listen to Edward P. Crandall reading his contribution, 'The Arrangement'.Mr Crandall is an American journalist who has been on the staff of the SAGA SHIMBUN (Saga City, Kyushu, Japan) newspaper since August 2000. According to the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association, he is the only known American writing in Japanese for a domestic regional newspaper. In addition to his column 'Seen and Heard', which appears weekly in the local section of the paper, he writes on regional art and music and does an occasional travel piece. He also lectures on politics and economics at Saga University and elsewhere. His ghost story 'Survivors' appeared in the 2004 collection ACQUAINTED WITH THE NIGHT (Ash-Tree). Another short story, 'The Nanri Papers', is forthcoming as an illustrated chapbook to be published by The Swan River Press. Mr Crandall gives the background to the story in an accompanying podcast on this site.
